Streetskill is the public education campaign of the new multi-agency Cayman Islands National Road Safety Strategy. It supports the strategy’s goals of eliminating road deaths in the Cayman Islands by ‘putting the brakes on bad driving.’

It was launched on 1 May 2006 by the (RCIPS), the (NRA) and the Cayman Islands Road Safety Advisory Council (CIRSAC). Under the new CI National Road Safety Strategy, the campaign now also includes the Public Works and DVDL departments.

Road safety is a worrying area for many agencies in the Cayman Islands. In addition to the high number of fatal car crashes, the police deal with hundreds of minor collisions which could easily be avoided if people were more responsible when behind the wheel.
